Cliff Hall RIP

A friend for 20 years, a member of The Spinners folk group, died aged 82 on 26th. i make no apologies for posting this even though folk music might be looked down on by the music "officianados" on here.
A thoroughly decent bloke who helped popularise folk music again from the 60's onwards. RIP my friend.

I remember Cliff Hall well- the black member; and probably the only black folkie ever seen on TV.
82? Wow? How old are the rest of the Spinners then?

Tony Davis will be about 80 now, Mick Groves and Hughie Jones are 70 and still performing around the folk clubs colonel.

Yes, I remember him, had a religious medallion if Im correct on their TV show in the 70's.
He could hold a tune. RIP Cliff

I dont mind some of it eg Fairport Convention,Eclection did have singles of those bands and ebay has Eclection from time to time .
