Anyone ever been in the wonderful Flying Ducks?

Great little retro 60's/70's shop just opposite Grenwich tube.

Last time I was in there they were selling 70's porn mags like Parade, old kids comics and loads of memorabilia.

It was great for a trip down memory lane.

According to their website they closed the shop due to changes in the area.

Yeh - I know Jim and Carolyn who ran it. They originally started at Camden Stables Market & moved in next door to my mum & dad's shop where they taught them everything they knew - apart from the fact that they were a lot dearer - so they moved south of the river!
The trouble with that whole market is that it's died on its arse - 90% of what's on sale today is repro. If you're after genuine 50's Spick and Span mags etc. the UK's largest stockist is based in York - I'll dig out their web address when i can find it!
Flying Duck closed a couple of months or so ago - unfortunately Camden Stables Horse Hospital which really was the home of the retro rival has also been fucked by Camden Council and their urban regeneration program!
London is losing so much these days under crap redevelopments - it's really rather sad!
