Annoying Sports Pundits

While i agree that Sports Pundits should be people that have actually played their sport at the highest level, and have actually won things, you do get the one's that are total letdowns.

Alan Shearer is one to mention, constantly trying to overule Martin O'Neill during BBC's Euro 2008 coverage.Another example is Tim Henman thinking he knows more than John McEnroe.

Sue Barker is a lovely girl, but takes herself far too seriously imo.

Martin O'Neill and John McEnroe have been a joy to listen to in the past few weeks !thumbsup!

What also made me laugh Nob was John Lloyd actually believing that Andy Murray stood a chance against Nadal.

You could see McEnroe wanting to curl up with laughter.McEnroe tells it like it is.That's how it should be.

Martin O'Neills only faux pas was saying that France would win Euro 2008.

Oh dear!!!! !laugh!.

commentators can be so biased.
notice how andy murray was a brit when he was playing well, and a scot when he got beat.
and if that young girl yestarday had lost she would be an aussie again.

You can also blame the newspapers for that as well. The same was said about Barry McGuigan. When he beat Eusebio Pedroza,it was seen as 'a proud moment for Britain'.When he lost to Stevie Cruz,it was seen as 'defeat for the Irishman'.

Definetley biased. But at least Murray admits to being Scottish before British, like most of us claim to be English before British.

I'm not a fan of Sue Barker either but she did actually win a Grand Slam (French Open) in the late seventies. Hansen for me is well past his sell by date as a pundit. Time for a change BBC, though they don't have an abundance of football to show from next season!

I thought Sue Barker won something.I just wish she would get more involved with the banter with the others, reason why i said that she takes herself too seriously.

I think ITV have most of the footy for the forthcoming season. No chance of them poaching Hansen,as Andy Townsend is their top dog.

The worst of the lot is Andrew Castle with his "when you get to this level" comments. When exactly were you at this level, Andy? Henman's ability to stay in the world's top twenty for years has warped Castle's memory, making him believe he was similar when Britain's number one.
