It looks like Simon Mann has been made the fall guy for the plot of the failed coup in Equatorial Guinea.( Another corrupt African state)
Mark Thatcher must have pulled a lot of strings to get out of this.
Also what has Thatcher done to deserve a knighthood. Apart from having a mother who was PM

It's a baronetcy- an hereditary knighthood. It was given to his father and will be inherited by his son.

And I thought I was a hardliner on the issue!
He should have been given 99 years- but I don't begrudge him certain luxuries.

I'm agreeing with AIB, I think he was fully complicant in all of this, and would have stood to make a fortune, he got what he thought he would never deserve.

But lets be honest he wasn't the only one...The men in the "Nice Suits" have all got off,.....Others should be facing long sentances as well....
