They've been caught too often with out-of-date discs, I suspect. That's the danger with filming months in advance.

Strange how you always know if it'll be good by who is in it. Terry Perkins or Jo (wayhey knockers) Masters episodes never disappoint, in my opinion.

Jo Masters. The actress who plays her. Fantastic knockers! Has she ever done any "tasteful" nude stuff me wonders.....

Perhaps they keep going on those gruelling shifts by dipping into the charlie they've confiscated ?

It has become more "soapy" and a bit more overblown since its early days for sure, Alice.

However: 'A' relief (i.e. the "uniform") lot who we see regularly are just one of (I think) 3 uniformed "reliefs" who work shifts at the station, and occasionally you do see an unknown desk sergent or someone else from one of the other reliefs.

As far as the crime-solving goes, we just get to see what the regulars are up to.

There are also loads of extras on the show these days with non-speaking roles (both uniform and CID). Presumably, the intended impression that the producers want to give the viewer is that this lot are all off dealing with all the more routine and petty stuff off-camera, while the regulars get the more exciting, action-packed assignments (which - let's face it - make better 'drama' for TV).

Same goes for the regulars who don't appear in a particular episde or storyline: Presumably they're off working on other cases that we don't get to see or hear about.

And I don't know how often you watch Alice, but quite frequently, other officers or teams from elsewhere DO come in and help out - sometimes they even take over (which invariably pisses off the Sun Hill mob).

I wouldn't say no, Alice.

There are FAR worse than her (nowt wrong with the "older woman") and in any case - as the old saying goes - you don't have to look at the mantlepiece while you're stoking the fire !wink!.
