Remember the scene in jurassic park where the Lawer get eaten whilst on the crapper. I have never seen such gratuitus violence in my life, Atters was in that wasn,t he?

As Steve pointed out, Brighton Rock was violent for its time, and no doubt was blamed for its depiction of violence. Sadly, the old sweetie has forgotten that.
