Help Please!!!

Post by thecocker »

Hi all

I was wondering if anybody can help me or point me in the right direction. My PC keeps restarting itself when it is normal mode. I have to run it in safe mode in order to be on for than 5 minutes. No matter what I have tried (formatting the HD and using other HDs), it still restarts itself.

Can anybody tell me what may be causing this problem and how to solve it?

Thank you for any help.

You changed anything recently like add a new piece of software or even updated a driver for an existing piece of software?

Thanks for the replies boys, it's much appreciated.

No MegaTon, I haven't added any new software. None that I haven't always had anyway. As it is, the software that I had on the PC to begin with got wiped off when I formatted the HD. The only software that's on there now, is what came with the XP start-up disc.

Thanks again.

Thanks SP, I'd also thought of that but it runs in safe mode okay.

See my reply here about the PC running too hot.

Also, it may help in future if your subject line says "PC help" or something like that. That will encourage the PC experts to take a look.

Just saying "Help Please" gives no idea what your problem is about.
