It is very difficult to actually say with certainty that an experience is paranormal. Many experiences are strange and unexplainable, of course this doesnt mean they are paranormal. Anyone who is fairly well balanced who has spent time researching the subject will tell you that it is a complex and difficult area.

We used a nightvision camera a bog standard hi 8 camera a digital sound recorder and a tape recorder we sat for between 1 and 2 hours and the footage took all week to go through. And obviously we were a very amateur group. We all wrote down experiences during the time we allocated. As you can imagine the group needs to be very objective and down to earth, thankfully we had a physicist in our group.

We had lots of results many unexplainable but whether they were paranormal is another thing entirely. Too many people put anything down to "spirit" whether thats a lightbulb blowing or a strange light on a photo. Much of the current hysteria was kick started by the king cretin Acorah, who has done more damage to "spiritualism" than all the detractors of the last fifty years.

That is, as far as I kno,w the most reliable group.

and that is just an interesting related link.

harmonyluvver,
My own experiences of the paranormal were in the Sixties when both myself and my wife saw objects moving through space of their own volition.
Also a friend and I saw what we thought were two men barring our way in a graveyard but afer a while we realised that they were "ghosts."
To this very day I also experience what one would call amazing co-incidences but which I think are simply magic!

What the fuck is it with the nightvision googles since that fucking bullshit most haunted. Its ghosts not Paris Hiltons cunt. Plenty of people have fucking seen ghosts in normal light, where the fuck does it say you need dark to see ghosts or other paranormal activity.

The phenomena known as "spirit orbs" is best captured on nightvision and most circles sit in darkness. So to capture anything watchable you need to use nightvision. From the experimental side. From the viewpoint of the Tv stuff I imagine it's because it looks kind of "Blair Witch-y".

They`re called particles of dust. I`ll let you in on a secret, the cast of most haunted wouldn`t know the paranormal from decent acting, both things the show sorely lacks.

My first thought was particles of dust, however a lot of the orbs do not conform to brownian motion and flit very quickly some will start slowly and then flit about and then return to moving slowly. Some will move in an almost perfectly straight line whilst other seem to float . I will have a look to see if I have any footage of any decent ones still.
