I use internet explorer.
I keep hearing about different web browsers.
Are they any better?
How do I use them?
How do I install them?
Can I go between the two if I install another but dont like it?

Is there any point changing?

Im confused.com !!!!!!!

Internet Explorer is an integral part of Windows hence it makes it relatively easy for those writing viruses, spyware, trojans etc to get them running on your computer.

Other browsers eg Firefox and Opera are relatively 'stand-alone' programs so less easy to be used to infect your computer.

You can run several browsers side by side, I have had Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera running together on the same computer.

What you can not do is be logged into say a Yahoo email account and try to access it using two different browsers at the same time.

Try them and see for yourself would be my advice

All you will gain is a safer browser & potentially more speed by changing from IE to any of the others

Taking the example of the new google chrome browser based on safari
I saw phenomenal speed increases when loading pages but other users of firefox said it was nothing special. It really is an individual thing.

IE7 is pants. !thumbsdown!

If you are able I'd suggest using Firefox 3 - it's by far the best. !thumbsup!

Jacques before he went over to the dark side was always brilliant with PC advice and other things.

He said get firefox, I did and have used it ever since.

I am not as keen on the new version but wouldn't go back to IE now.

Firefox drops its EULA

This just in from Groklaw:

Now, you can install and use Firefox without having to agree to a EULA... There may be further tweaks, I understand, but I think it's time to acknowledge that Mozilla is behaving very well indeed now and demonstrating a desire to get this right.

Positively refreshing.

One thing about firefiox i like is the built-in Session Restore feature, allowing the user to continue browsing from where they left off if firefox session closes unexpectedly .

Plus some of the addons on offer are good i use a youtube video clip downloader app it comes in handy when you want to save a video clip to your pc it can also download videos of simliar sites to youtube.

I rarely use IE as it crashes alot on my pc.
