Far better to be in a dream than in the usual nightmare that is the early pace setting cellar dwellers Newcastle & Tottenahm

Every prem club will eventually have a multi billion pound investor who can bankroll them to a few championships.
Lakshmi Mital
DIC
Kia Joorabchian
The premier league is a billionaires play ground nowadays and no longer the beloved game we were all brought up to love and adore.
Thankfully at upton park we havent yet succumbed to temptation and still manage to knock out endless young stars of the future by giving them guaranteed 1st team football.
But how long can we resist going down the routes chelsea and eventually man city will take and just purchasing the best talent in the world rather than bringing through homegrown stars.
ENGLISH FOOTBALL RIP

Hammer take a look at Citys starting 11 against Portsmouth..
Hart, Richards, Ireland, Wright-Phillips..all products of our famed youth academy..Sturridge and Evans were used as subs too..
The new owners are all too aware of Citys great tradition in giving youth a chance (we are the current F.A Youth Cup and League Champions by the way)..and our manager chooses our team, unlike West Ham and Newcastle, where it seems it is down to the Chairmen these days..of course if we want to compete with the top 4 for a major signing we now have the financial backing to do that too, but I very much doubt it will be to the detriment of our youth policy which looks like its going from strength to strength..our under 18 team just scored 15 goals in their last two games! lol

Thats nothing to do with your new owners taking more care in your club more the fact ourselves and newcastle have a different internal structure.
Zola has complete control over which 11 starts though i suspect our technical director resides over transfers (hence the reason we spent less than every other prem club this summer

)
Lampard, Cole, Carrick, Defoe, R Ferdinand, Johnson - Had it not been for WHUFC not concentrating mainly on our youth policy english football would now be without a generation of stars - heck even terry, A Cole and Beckham were born within a stones throw away from the stadium and at some point were nurtured by the staff at upton park.
If sides like west ham and man utd just decide to abandon these systems english football would be in a far worse state than it currently is yet we seem to get no credit whatsoever for doing so while our neighbours from north and west london spend endless millions on norwegians to nigerians and they get all the plaudits??
