Blogger In Court for 'Obscene Post'

Very strange, seeing it was fantasy. They'll have to arrest most script writers of Hollywood if they ever touch down in a plane at Heathrow. Then they can round up novelists and burn books. I think someone tried this in the past!

Perhaps he was driven to it by hearing their crap music nostop on the radio.

Perhaps his mistake was to write about real people rather than fictional ones. A worrying development however you look at it.

Yep sounds about right.

Writing horrible things about anmed people will get you into trouble. It matters not if its fantasy or not.

Why do you think BGAFD Admin delete so many posts? If they allowed certain thingsd said then they could find themselves standing before the beak

That was an anagram of "named". I did that deliberately.

"Like fuck you did" -Admin

Notice I didnt use the word BGAFD Admin. Because that would get me in trouble. Admin could be any admin.

JonnyHungwell,
This is obviously a test case in order to start the censorship of the written word. If the prosecution wins this case then more prosecutions will follow!

Not in the UK, although the ever encroaching euro bollox overriding our legal system makes a mockery these days with the European arrest warrant.

If you can get sent to jail for denying/questioning the official version of the Holocaust, then it would seem to me that the wannabe Nazis have already got somewhere, namely into Government.

What next? Banging up people who think 9/11 was an inside job maybe? Or perhaps we should execute people who think Prince Harry is Hewitt's boy? The threat of a nice stretch inside should certainly silence all of those folk who question whether man has actually ever been to the moon. Maybe you'd like to see the US perform some 'extraordinary renditions' on folk who question whether Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, and ship them off to Guantanamo Bay?

Of course, then you have the nutjobs as well...the Creationists in the US will want anyone who teaches evolution and denies the Biblical version of events to be incarcerated, and I'm sure the Muslims will have a few gripes to be aired as well...and they tend to get very tetchy (and by tetchy I mean 'suicide bombers') when they don't get it all their own way.

Attempting to fight fascism with fascism is counter-productive and profoundly hypocritical to say the least.

Back to the topic at hand though, this court case is profoundly worrying, given that Britain is a supposedly 'free' country. I hope the blogger in question gets off without punishment and then takes the authorities to the cleaners.
