So we, the taxpayer, lend the banks our money, so they can lend it back to us, and charge interest on it?
Well with ?37bn put in by 'the government' i.e the UK taxpayers depending if a billion is ?100m or ?1000m each taxpayer has put in roughly ?100 or ?1000.
We will be lucky if all the capital is ever be returned by the banks, let alone with any interest added.
