This impressed me. The mono-eyebrowed Mancunians sold out both their Wembley Stadium shows within 60 minutes of the tickets going on sale this morning. At ?45.00 a ticket that is serious money for the box office to take in just one hour! I would like to go, but it will now mean approaching touts and paying a fortune. Is anyone on the Forum going? I think it's in June next year.

They rock- saw them in 96 with Travis as support.

Travis have been and gone but Oasis still remain; along with Radiohead and Portishead, the only three bands from the Nineties to stand the rock test of time; and remember that no Eighties band did.

Supergrass are still going, they are I think the only band from the mid-90's that are still around and have not even had a line-up change. Oasis are still around, yes, but they are on their third drummer and their second rhythm guitarist and second bassist. Noel even left the band during one tour and they had to get someone else to play lead. This was after he had a major bust-up with Liam and when they appeared on Top Of The Pops during that time the only original member of the band on stage was Liam himself. The TOTP presenter said afterwards 'that is what's left of Oasis'.

But it's true, they are still going as a band - and it still is THE BAND when you consider that the brothers are really the driving force and the rest are sort of support for those two. I saw them in Finsbury Park in London in 2003 and they were brilliant. They are a proper rock'n'roll outfit and they have made, over the last 14/15 years, rock'n'roll cool again. I hope to be able to see them at Wembley next year.
