I cant think why, It's a beautifully crafted piece of music, with a majestic rhythm section, awsome lyric's, a bridge and hook line to die for, and performed by possibly the greatest talent this country has ever produced, and that includes Ric Astley...

I read a few years that Gadd actually sold his rights to his songs (including future royalties) for a few million in the time between his arrest & conviction - quite an astute move really given how they were about to plunge in value. So that means he won't get any more money no matter who plays his music. I'm sure that's a fact that won't interest the gutter press while they're busy whipping up a storm and telling their moronic readership what to think though, facts aren't their 'bag'...

He only sold UK royalties, the ones from abroad, mainly the US, still roll in to him personally.

What's that got to do with us though? If a record is good it's good - the majority of rock stars were fucking jailbait in the 60's/70's, underage groupies, the works, and I'm talking pukka rock heroes not just dickhead pantomime pillocks like Gary Glitter. It wasn't a big deal then, it is now. I may be in a minority in this sad little country but one thing I do not need is some coke-snortin' hypocritical lazy journalist from some bog-paper redtop telling me what I should or should not be listening to.
If they want to play some glam rock tune (and a fucking COVER VERSION at that) from 35 years ago in America it's fuck -all to do with any brain-washed imbeciles from the uk and even less to do with some bribed tabloid hacks.
Someone ought to tell them about Jerry Lee Lewie & Elvis, and then after that maybe we could start burning Beatles records again due to Lennon's 'Bigger Than Jesus' comments?
