Throwing the radio at the wall!

Or just switch over.
If I switch the news on one more time and hear them talking about recession, credit crunch, short selling, inflation, FTSE, banks collapsing, rescue plans, exchange rates, IMF ---- and other assorted shite, I feel I'm going to go into overload.
There comes a point where you just switch off, regardless of how serious or what the consequences may be. In the past I totally switched off to the Irish Situation and anything to do with South Africa or Israel/Palestine. For years I would just switch over if any of these topics came up, I lost the will to live when they mentioned them

- it was so depressing/repetitious.

News channels and other media outlets keep drumming into everybody that we are about to suffer a global Recession, they keep on and on about it so much people start getting very worried, more worried then they first where. I am sure half the problems stem from the media bombarding people telling them they are going to be short of cash and are going to loose their jobs, maybe even making the problems worse. I remember a couple of weeks ago this had been in the news for weeks after telling us hour after hour that we are heading for financial meltdown , they then did a poll asking people do they feel secure about their finances, lol this after weeks of bombarding us with stories of doom, I dont need to say what the poll outcome was. The media make these things so much worse by spreading bad news every chance they get.

The problem is there just isn't enough news to satisfy the TV execs craze for 24 hr rolling news coverage, there isn't even enough to cover the 'on the hour' bulletins, so the just have to keep re hashing what little they have.

There is a huge amount of news out there but it gets overlooked because its deemed not worthy enough by the people that choose to tell us what they think we want to hear. Remember the news is chosed for us by the owners of the news orginisations. I have read news online that never makes it onto the tv news because it does not serve their purpose. Seems by bombarding people with bad news tends to suit them.

I know what you mean,
Most of the countrys in the world that have shall we say"problems" like israel for example will never be solved. No matter how many meetings or money os thrown at them.they are happy blowing each other up and thats it.let them get on with it till they are all gone.

This 'Credit Control' nonsense is a massive con and I, too, am heartily sick of it and other tales of woe re: housing market etc.
The castles that they've built are made out sand, but there's more to the banking industry than this shit.
