Isn't it one of those loony-left councils that appoints staff because they're the right ethnicity, regardless of whether they can do a job? Seems it's better to let children die than not be diverse.

And why are Diversity Officers always gay as Christmas?

I used to work in a loony left council, although not Haringay, so I know a bit about what goes on in such places. Cover ups are the order of the day.

I've nothing against gay people getting jobs, it's just they dominate the diversity posts for some reason. It's like you can't be diverse unless you're gay! It really is a nonsensical position, only there to promote the well being of the minorities.

If you knew that cover ups were the order of the day why didn't you do something about it?

Were you loony left at the time, who has now seen the light or someone sat in a nice comfortable office who thought why should I rock the boat?

I've just noticed the news link for the latest story on Yahoo leads with Labour close ranks on baby P.

Turns out when you click the link the story is about the council not the Labour party but I suppose if they lead with Council closes ranks over baby P it wouldn't have the same effect.

The facts about this are that evil scum killed the baby and tossers in ivory towers failed when they came to their attention.

Political sway has fuck all to do with it, crime has gone up were I live since the Tories gained control, this is all about scum being allowed to be scum by 'brains' who think they know better along with a medical team who failed to do their jobs.

Whistle Blowing always led to suspension and quite often dismissal - then a long fight through tribunals to get your job back. They don't make it easy, because management close ranks and bury evidence - and a real witch hunt starts to dish the dirt on the whistle blower in order to discredit him/her.

I've seen the whole process from beginning to end and it gets really nasty, threats from lawyers, police being called in to investigate. Most people just pretend they didn't know what was going on or side with management - because if they don't their future is not secure.
