I understand only pictures directed to other websites can only be loaded to bgafd.
How do you, link on a profile and how do you link on a message?
Thanks
Sandra

Thank You. The system will automatically link it. I do not have to paste a link?

Use [*img] your image link goes here [*/img] to post images on forum posts.
REMOVE THE ASTERISKS when you post, they're just there so you can see the code.

Wouldn't it be great though if it was as easy to load pix as it is on A.I.R or U.K Classifieds? Can't understand why it can't be,it'd make things a whole lot simpler,especialy for a technophobe like me. !sad!

Yes Heidi, i think i have it sorted now. Shame it can't be simpler like using add an attachment.
I suppose the pictures use internet space and the site operator would have to charge, so i guess i keeps the site free.

I understand what your saying Cassandra,however A.I.R is free and by its very nature relies on pictures.It has a fairly simple picture loading system,the same can be said of U.K Classifieds and the free swingers sites,so its hard to see why this site has problems adding a simple "Attachment" feature.Perhaps I'm being too simplistic. !confused!

Heidi/Cassandra;
I'm guessing the issue may well be a cost (or ie: bandwidth and file storage) one.
In order to upload the files directly to the site, a heck of a lot more bandwidth would be used, both to upload them and to serve them, which all costs money. Storage could become an issue too as storing images would need a huge amount of disk space compared with almost totally text.
While the site relies partially on advertising currently, it would have to do so a hell of a lot more, which I personally wouldn't welcome (possible popups and a lot more banners) and we would possibly even eventually have to pay a subscription in order to cover the extra costs.
I'm happy with uploading my images to free sites such as ImageHost.org and linking them as described above.
