Can anyone recommend one as i need to write myself a new c.v

It's better to be original. My personal recommendation:

1) Your name as a header.
2) Personal statement: outline briefly the kind of skills you have that aren't made clear from your qualifications (e.g. team-work if you play sport; or time-management if you went to University etc.)
3) Work experience: your recent jobs and brief details of your duties.
4) Education: where you studied and your quals.
5) Your contact details.
6) Hobbies & interests.
7) References: personally I just say 'available on request'.

Keep it to two sides of A4 - and be succinct: most potential employers are lazy and indifferent, and in truth are probably not really worth working for, but beggars can't be choosers. If you go to the Jobcentre/Connexions etc. they can give you advice on C.V.s.
