ANyone know where I can download a good MPEG player to play VCD's?

They dont seem to work with Media Player of Real Player but some do with a Jiao System one that I downloaded ... but not all :(

Anyone know of a reliable one that will play just about anything?

Cheers

You should be able to view most mpegs with win media 8
on some you might need to download divx codecs, also Ifranview
is a free programme that,s great for jpegs, mpegs, gifs whatever

put the vcd in the cd drive, open Windows Media Player click on FILE then
OPEN then double click your cd drive (D is default) open
the folder Mpegav then select All Files (*.*) from the Files
of type box, then click on the file u can now see which is usually called
Avseq01.dat or music01.dat, double click on that and it should work
in windows media player.

Just followed your instructions to the letter and they don't work (at least on my PC). I also downloaded Elecard MPEG2 player and that doesn't work either - anyone else got any other suggestions?

Yes, I think so. The first time I was online got a message saying did I want to download latest version, did and haven't had that message since so I presume it is the latest. Thanks for your help.

Try this url page http://www.adultvideo.co.uk/vcdfaq.html... and then go to http://www.adultvideo.co.uk/download.html... where you can download a VCD player..i did and got the powerplay one..in fact looks much the same as my powerplay dvd player.
The rub is that I'm still awaiting my vcd order from there!!So i havent tested the player nor seen vcd in action! But theyre GOOD company..just slow at times.
Good luck Boab !
