A good friend,who is divorced,called me today,to tell me that he was marrying a certain lady(whom I have known for some years).He is wealthy and quite a bit older than the lady.I told him to remember the following:

Ladies prefer men with money

The lady concerned works,earns money-and then spends it.So far it has worked for her,but I fear that the present deflation has not helped her.Of course my friend is entitled to do what he wants.I just don't want this not to work.Any comments,particularly from those who have been in such a situation,are welcomed.

Hmmm..It is difficult to cast aspersions or predictions on a person whom i know nothing about. Its easy to make generalisations and it ceertainly is not fair but one can assume being female then why shouldnt she like a man with money?

People who see women as gold diggers, a crass term to use in this diatribe of mine (which Im not accusing you of suggesting my good sir) forget that the subconscious reason for this is simply down to wanting security and not wishing to get all Freudian about it (cos Freud i aint) the reason maybe down to the same stereoptype of what women see in an older gentlemen with whom she desired to partner with long term.

Physical attributes are not necessary in the new age. No longer does he have to have a square jaw and a six pack with a spear in one hand defending his loved ones on the range. Age seems to denote (I hope) wisdom, maturity and if he has a pretty penny or two behind him, security...Oh and to be a trite cynical, if he is considerably older and pops his clogs and has an offspring or two then shes taken of.

Pornstars are hardly monogomous (obviously) so I wonder how an ex-porngirl would cope with a one-on-one relationship. To have got to your mid to late 20's and to have slept with probably 500 men, and maybe never having had a relationship before (only sex) would make it very hard to be committed to the guy. Also, many pornstars are exhibitionists and get genuinely excited at the thought of men looking at their bodies and wanting them. Exhibitionism is not just a preference it is a medically recognised state. So how the new husband will cope, if she is a full-blown exhibitionist, with this need in her to be looked at by other men, and the fact that she has always put-it-about and has never settled down with one bloke before, is anyone's guess.

I have since learned that this 'lady' has 3 young children,all with different fathers.If he marries her,that should make for interesting family reunions,as well as surname changings!

I have worked with female pornstars for more that 20 years.Those who do the work longterm,always claim to be looking for Mr/Mrs right.I do know of 2 at least,who have married and settled into a great relationship(neither British),so it is possible!
