Somebody is lying here - doctors, in an effort to have cancer patients accepted by society, always go out of their way to assure the public there is never any danger from the radiation emitted by a treated patient - like

"It is important to remember that in no case will radiation exposure from a patient present an immediate danger to others. The risk, if any, to friends and family is minimal and is easily managed using common-sense methods."

But it was always obvious doctors were not telling the truth. If you happen to work with someone who is having radiation treatment, the truth is that you probably are being exposed unnecessarily to radiation.

And if you live in Cornwall you're doubly exposed due to the ground radon.

That applies in rural Derbyshire as well, lot's of Radon gas here! we very often have a barbie with it, if the food doesn't make you ill, the gas will.

There is natural radiation in a lot of places - there's even a scare at the moment over solid granite kitchen tops and tiles, apparently some emit quite high levels. All I'm saying is I've never heard a doctor admit that cancer treatment patients could pose a risk to others - in the same way dentists try to play down the fact that amalgam fillings contain mercury. Somehow it's safe when it's in your mouth - but the moment it's removed it turns into a bio-hazard!. These are discussions the medical profession want burying - but it's just strange how it becomes dangerous when H&S becomes involved, because a policeman may get exposed during any arrest.

Sounds like a great title for an independent movie...
