No it wouldn't, but I never liked them from the off for refusing to stock porn in their US outlets. Plus they were so powerful they used their influence to get movies specially censored before they'd stock it - and many studios were only too happy to comply, when a Blockbuster placing of the movie brought in a lot of cash.

I worked for them 12 years ago 'in between jobs', it was a small shop so I didn't have to put up with 'team leaders' enforcing promotional gubbins constantly, which was a good job cos they were paying me a meagre ?3 an hour. I enjoyed though, but primarly cos I was left to my devices, it was 5 minutes from my house (in a good area) and I could serve customers whilst listening to my cd's instead of the latest 'BEN' video (the promotional tapes for Blockbuster Entertainment Network pushing all the new releases).
Working a 6 hour saturday evening shift for ?18 was not cool tho, and they generally got what they paid for, most of the full time staff they employed were as thick as two short planks and just as pretty
