Apparently all of our car journeys are now being kept on police file for 5 years is this going over the top ?

The cameras were originally installed by the highways agency to monitor journey times, look for blackspots, improve flow etc, but have quietly been linked into the police and MI5 systems to monitor the people.
Just another leap towards the police state. Still, the "if you've got nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear" gang will be along in a minute to provide some light relief!

Databases, databases and yet more databases.

Maybe people will burn the cameras if they become too intrusive.

But that would only be possible if you used a card for payment or had one of the so-called loyalty cards. I pay for all of my food/petrol with cash and don't have any of these points cards.Years ago I usewd cards all the time, but now I just draw a wad of cash and spend that, it's easier for purchases under ?100.

Taking a sidestep back onto the topic , sort of , the number plate recognition cameras they use that are mounted on vehicles , if they want to use that as evidence in a court case they have to apply to the courts prior to any prosecution , is that still so does anybody know ? i know they used to have to , just wondered if they still do you see them all the time on the news and tv "cop chase" stuff . Cheers JJ .
And all your travel now....
