To solve the economic crisis you need to get people spending again. The best way to do this is for the government to give everybody ?1,000 worth of vouchers which can be spent in any shop and the shop can redeem the voucher at the bank of England.

The vouchers are valid for 3 months, and are not redeemable for cash. I guarantee everybody who is given a voucher will spend every penny of it, pumping 100's of millions into the economy.

So rather than give Trillions to the banks give vouchers to the public.

Thoughts anyone?

I imagine that the problem for the government with your on the face of it admirable suggestion, is that it would involve the money existing now rather than being some amorphous amount that will have to be accounted for in some unspecified way at a later date (by our children and their children).

Fancy buying a car to ease the recession? there are 57,000 to choose from in this storage depot alone.

Good..I'll buy a hundred of those. Raze the fuckers and build a condo on it ..Or keep the land and sell it to future property prospecters then take the original owners of that property on a nice cruise to say thanks all.
