Don't have one. Don't want one. Don't need one. Have no intention of getting one.
And I'm sure that a lot of people who do get them just get them simply for gimmickry's sake and / or for the (perceived) prestige of having one.
You know, like when mobile phones were still something of a "status symbol", and you'd get tossers who - instead of finding a quiet, out-of-the-way corner somewhere to conduct their call - would seek out the busiest public place they could find in order to carry on conversations in demonstrably loud voices, and shout things like "see you in ten, John" into their mobiles (you don't see that so much now that every fucker and his dog has got one).
I was back in the UK recently, and took the opportunity to visit some friends of mine who'd recently moved. I'd never been to their new place before.
"Don't you have a sat-nav?" she asked when I rang to arrange a time.
"Don't worry, I've got the address and I'll find it" I replied.
"But how will you know which house it is in the dark?" she asked, with genuine bewilderment.
Makes you wonder how some people ever coped with just maps, road signs, their noses and a bit of common sense.

You dont need a Sat Nav if you are lost just keep turning left and dont trust maps as the A-Zs have false roads inserted to stop them being copied !wink!
