What I remember about Princess Diana's funeral - nothing, because I wasn't interested and never watched it. I do remember the night she died, but more for the speculation she'd been murdered.

I have two vivid memories of Diana's death.
1). Is because I was in the very same tunnel some 3 hours earlier ahving just picked up 3 Hungarian girls from the airport and taken them onto out shooting location near Nantes.
2). We travelled back the day of the funeral by ferry and when we got back into blighty there was no traffic. Which was wonderful because we had to drive to London give back the hire cars and then go straiight on the tube to Heathrow and fly to Budapest for more filming.
I miss those days !

I didnt watch it either.
what I remember most about that day was no traffic.
It was my turn to work that weekend at the job I had at the time.
So the company openned up as usual but closed an hour before.
So with nothing to do or go as all the shops where going to shut I went back home.Roads where dead.
Didnt watch it on the tv so spent the next couple of hours in the garage mucking about then went back to work.
And we still got paid for the whole day as overtime !!

....Does this infamous story include Jimslip driving into a septic tank in the van with all the equipment in it?
How I still laugh at that one. I always like the punch line 'shit happens'! !happy!
P.S I'm not laughing at the Diana story.

It was indeed on the very same trip Lara. It was one of the funniest things ever. Took about 12 of us to lift the van out of the 'shithole too !

I remember the day of her death well.Like Dave W,I know the tunnel well.
I was in bed with a lady,who,having made coffee,wearing nothing but a smile and high heels,rushed into the room,to announce the ''Death of a Princess''.I shrugged,turned over in the bed,and went back to sleep! The woman (in heels)was apoplectic.
