He wasn't murdered the poor chap died of a heart attack ... wasn't the wisest thing to be hanging around a riot scene whilst out of his face though and it probably did contribute to his death.

I understood he had been on his way home from work.

I have seen no report that he was drunk.

Can you please name the news source which said he was drunk?

It has been in all the papers today. He was photograhed there a hour before the incident with the riot police. He was actually stood in the middle of the road looking the worst for wear and trying to block a riot van that was trying to get to another part of cental London.
He wasn't as it had been reported "just on his way home".

Hope you wont be on the jury Davey you are obviously a very open minded bloke.This bloke was pissed ,overweight and a smoker,a show off and nuisance.He was handled roughly however that does not make the plod a murderer despite what the lefties may hope.The officer was too officious and lost his temper.He wil probably be charged with assault and lose his job.They will never prove a link between the assault and this blokes demise.
