What about Menzies Campbell ... why is that pronounced 'Ming' ? It's just people wanting to be different. There's no harm in it.

You wouldn't be allowed that name over here. You can only register a name that has the approval of the Passport Agency, and they refuse to issue passports to people with numbers or symbols in their name. Its the reason why Gazza couldn't change his name to G8.

And how come posh guys called Ralph/f pronounce it Raif but the rest of us know its really Ralph/f. Pretentious gits. !swear!

Menzies Campbell is pronounced that way because that is the way it is pronounced in Scotland!! In my early childhood I used to loved going into John Minges Newsagents for all my pencil sharpeners and stuff ...
