What's the problem with Gurkhas?

Why does the government not want them to live here?

Considering everyone else on the planet can just turn up, shout 'Asylum!" and stay here forever, why can't those who've actually contributed something to this country?

Is there something I don't know about that makes this reluctance make sense?

The government only want scroungers, who then become totally dependent on them - and vote them in again and again and again.

Well if you are fit to represent this county in battle you are sure as fuck fit to stay in the joint ... not sure why they would want to though.

Is Gurkhaland a dive or something??

Its called Nepal. And things are pretty bad there for a lot of the population. That's why their young men are so keen to get the chance to join a foreign army and the enhanced earnings they can remit to their families.

I know, its a fucking disgrace! These people fought for us and yet any old Tom, Dick and Harry can turn up at our airports and ports and get free hands outs for life (ok a little over exaggerated but i'm angry).

And the amount of compensation the troops get if injured whilst in active duty is pittance.

What kind of fucked up person decides these rules?

No doubt, only Gurkhas over the age of 90 with both parents still alive is part of a sub-clause too !wink!
