this may not be the appropriate place to ask this, but does anyone know how i cancel my subscription to the adult channel, there website is the biggest pile of poo i have ever seen and gives me no clues.

i had to give my cancelation it writing.

me too.

I just cancelled my direct debit. they sent me a pile of idle threats for a months subscription but as i never watched it i told them to stick it up there arse, and if they sent me anymore mail i would take THEM! to court. never heard from them again.

These thing,s are better put in writing, Iv,e had dealings with
satellite companies, and thet can be a bastard to deal with,
get everything in writing and if you phone them ask the operators name.it,s hard to cancel a direct debit because the other party has to agree and they dont usually want to do that.

Are you sure about the bit on cancelling a direct debit?

Surely if you instruct your bank not to allow a certain company to take any more of your money from your account then they have to do that?

I have always understood that it is necessary to notify the company in writing that you are cancelling the direct debit but that was all - they do no not have the right to continue to take money against your will.

Maybe Magoo or someone else with legal expertise can clarify if I am right on this or not...

Yes Jason you are right. If you advice TAC in writing and instruct your bank to cancel a direct debit instruction then the bank will be liable if they dont obey you.

They problem is when you subscribe using a credit card. Then you cannot tell the credit card company to stop accepting charges to your account. Your credit card compay has to accept whatever TAC or whoever sends charges to your account and if you dont like it you have to raise it with TAC or whoever.

That can be a nightmare with disreputable organisations but TAC is run by Playboy TV and with a good name to protect it would be surprising if credit card users have a problem.

call their subscription line and tell them you wish to cancel, then ask them for the address...that's what i did...they didn't give me any grief...a bonus was i talked to a husky voiced scottish woman !!!! now if that doesn't prompt you to phone up ..nothing will !!!...good luck !!! chaio
