Now I am not a trendy leftie but our prisons are a fucking disgrace and yet again we have a withering report of another nasty one full of staff who seem brain dead.Yet again we are told the stock response 'There were problems but we're turning it around'.

Our prisons do nothing to stop reoffending and drugs are rife.What a fucking disgrace our prisons are and the staff should be ashamed to work for such a failing service.

Second rate country, second rate prisons, wouldn't expect anything else.

When they started paying crap wages the quality of applicant declined. Shaven headed halfwits who would normally have been on the taxis.

The agenda of the article though is maybe along the lines of 'privatise them and make them more efficient' ie cheaper. If they're crap already it's one way of making them worse.
