I think you might be right there. Lots of "community leaders" (who no one in the muslim community will have even heard of) will start dominating the news networks moaning about what Eastenders have done, and the Eastenders producers will have to go on these TV programmes and kiss-arse to these self-appointed individuals. Que lots of apologising and grovelling from Eastenders executives.

Maybe a fatwah will be pronounced on director general, writers and actors and licence payers money will be spent on round-the-clock protection for said individuals ?

And so Coronation Street fights back with a storyline about stale meat pies and a racing pigeon that gets two million more viewers because it is simply better acted and scripted.

Gay Muslims are common - you don't see it so much in the UK, but in Holland, France & Germany they hang around toilets, service stations, sex cinemas - and wherever men go. Seem more of them that the white homos. They're usually North Africans or Turkish.

There are as many gay Muslims as gay Christians, I would hazzard a guess, only they keep it under their hats! --- so it's not wrong to portray two secretly gay Muslims going at it hammer and tong.
