Goody: people continue to make money off of her...

If you go into WH Smith's there are three books, in the best seller lists, about Goody. At least two of them Goody pretended to write herself, and the other is written by another person (in other words all three were written by other people, none written by Goody). It is amazing how even after Goody has passed away, people are still trading on her name and buying themselves nice cars and houses off of her. I never liked Goody, she was not deserving of being liked, but I equally don't agree with this.

Next point: Goody's pretend husband got released from jail this week and will continue to make money out of his association with Goody for ever more. This scumbag was told by a Judge he would have got longer in jail for the assaults he committed had his personal circumstances not have changed recently - in other words Goody's passing. Within 18 months this guy will be a millionaire, from the trash mag exclusives, TV interviews, and (and this wouldnt surprise me) probably something like male grooming videos and the like.

I think there should be a rule that people like him, who are only famous for assualting people and getting involved in a theatrical 'marriage' with someone like Goody, just because a magazine was stumping up lots of cash, should be prevented from earning money from the 'name' he acquired through those things. It can't be right for this tosser to make lots of money out of a 'marriage' to Goody and for attacking two people. Can it?

Is there a photographer camped out at Goody's graveside, as they always manage to get a photograph of the grieving family member turning up?

It couldn't be that someone is tipping the press off about these 'private' visits taking place could it? Surely not?

Max,

People have been 'trading off dead celebrities' for years, so the continued interest and publication of books / photos / etc about Jade Goody comes as no surprise.

What did surprise me was that everyone forgot Jade's racist tirades on television and that numerous other celebrities who died due to cancer fought their battles with grace and decorum.

Just think about how many books, magazine and newspaper articles have been written about Princess Diana since she died. Elvis who died in the 70s, is constantly having albums and singles re-released. And let's not forget that every few years, a new conspiracy theory comes up about Marilyn Monroe and JFK.

It's not just publications that do this. A number of the big hit movies over the past year used historical figures who are now dead for a story line.

In the past twelve months, we've had "Changling" with Angelina Jolie is based upon a true story on LA in the 1920s, and "Young Victoria" is about the life of the young Queen Victoria.

Only once the public stop buying these articles, books, etc will the subject to laid to rest - so in a few years time, people will probably go 'Jade who?'

And living ones.

As Paul Gascoigne said about his ex-wife Cheryl a few years ago "If she hates me so much, why doesn't she stop using my surname?"

Jade Goody is back to haunt you all from beyond the grave....Goes to show what a real legend she is when perople are still harping on about her.

Theres one word that seems to accurately describe her right now and that is...Phenomenon.

She espouses all things we love and hate and thats why you are still banging on about her.

She didnt hear you then and she sure as hell aint hearing you now.

Hey! Why am I still writing about her....???

This is the domino aeffect that keeps the cash registers going Ker-Ching!

I hope her kids grow up to spend this money wisely and get a damn good education out of it too
