If this is a recession then my arsehole smells of roses i believe the recession here in the UK has been put off until after the next general election, unlike in the USA where Obama is allready at work on the other side of the pond they will come good 12-18 months ahead of us, if we had a general election after Bliar jumped ship we could have had a stronger leader with a mandidate to put the UK economy back on track, instead we have Biffo Bottler Brown !sad!

Some clever soul thinks that if the recession has been put off, as you say, then we are not in a recession now. If we're not in a recession now then we don't need a stronger leader to put the economy back on track.
How can we put an economy 'back on track' when it's not in recession yet (according to you)?
We look forward to your reply.

We'll see what planeterotica has to say, because he seemed pretty sure that unless his arse smells of roses, the recession isn't here yet. Now, I've not smelt his arse, have you?
Oh.....and who's Mike?

So your another who hasn't seen that the FTSE is up, house prices are up, the car scrappage scheme is working nor that the IMF even thinks were doing OK.
Not surprising really the media almost choke when they have to announce it and would much rather have Green Dave announcing his latest gimmick to steer away from things like main contributors leaving for UKIP and even Norman Tebbit telling supporters not to vote Tory.

During the recession of the early 1980s you had people standing on roundabouts holding up placards saying [Give Me A Job] i havnt seen any of this in this current recession which makes me think that the worse is yet to come, if this recession is over then all you can expect is inflation which would have to be curbed by rasing interest rates which would put a dampener on house prices and the stock market, you aint seen nothing yet !sad!
