I worked with Danny for a number of years in the 70's. A fine man A gentleman. Sad news.
Of course I never met him - but as a bullshitter I'm obliged to claim I met and worked with everyone famous.

Barbara Windsor was going on about how she adored him - although obviously not enough to help him out in his latter years, when he had to make do with a couple of rented rooms.

I actually saw him live in cabaret in 1977 in Lowestoft pier theatre and he really was very funny and very blue. My then girlfriends mum was so disgusted she walked out of the theatre, which doubled my pleasure !
