Yeah, he's whiter than white! --- according to jobswort Sir Philip Mawer.
What a load of corrupt shit goes on down Westminster way.

The problem is most of them haven't done anything illegal, just immoral in most peoples' eyes.
They just can't see that because it's legal, it doesn't always make it right.

The whole situation in politics is enough to make anyone want a revolution - they just seem to be able to get away, time and time again, with unacceptable behaviour. Whether it's skimming money off for themselves or in the case of Gordon Brown - just proclaiming he's the right man for the job, so he's staying because he's not a quitter - then gets the backing of a bunch of self serving pigs in order to justify his position. It never enters their minds that what they're doing is immoral - and in the eyes of most people it is criminal, doesn't matter what the law or self made rules actually say - if I'd done the same as Shahid Malik, I'd be in court ---- and Gordon Brown seems to forget it's not him who should be telling us he's the man for the job, hen most of us are saying he definitely is not. Institutionalised corruption and a electoral system that gives the ruling party almost dictatorial powers, it really just isn?t on ? we need the power to get rid of these people when we decide they should go, not give them the opportunity to bend the rules, fix votes, manipulate the economy to fit in with their electoral chances etc. etc. We seem to be in some never ending nightmare where they can control every aspect of our lives ? and we have no way of getting rid of them, because the rules of the game are skewed in their favour.

So Gordon's tame investigator clears the MP, but will not release the evidence. That's OK, because we can trust them, no problem there then. Bollocks from start to finish.

As someone pointed out on the radio today - the government now treat us the way the British Empire once treated the colonies. Do as you're told, we know best what's good for you - be nice little chappies and go away, we'll run the place and do what we want.
Only last week Brown was going on about transparency, a new way of government - then the very first investigation is carried out in secret by one person --- and the results are hidden, on the order of the bozo himself!
