I dont know. You cant even have an overtly racist political party these days without some jobsworth interfering in your exclusive membership policy. Political correctness gone mad. ;)

Maybe they'll tell the Black police officers asscociation to stop discriminating, too.

Hi one eye,
White Caucasian so BNP reveals its true colours as a white supremacist party and followers of Adolph Hitler.

I suspect Griffin misunderstands. He says the BNP is exempted:

".. ethnic groups who need special protection such as the English in their own country, who are now second class citizens" were "entitled to discriminate on that basis and not on the grounds of colour".

however I would think that the clauses apply to minority ethnic groups. The English, however Griffin defines it, are not a minority ethnic group so the challenge to the BNP may be a valid one. Would resources be directed to one that wasn't ?

Peter, ever wondered why a black police officers association was set up in the first place? Maybe it had something to do with wide spread racism from whites towards blacks in the police force maybe?

Plus the black police force is not a political party able to make and change laws to suit its own agenda.

Makes total sense to me that black officers would want their own association to protect themselves from the racism of a majority white police force.

Whites think of themselves as ethnic minorities in their own country?! Griffins havin a laugh.

Theres a difference to feeling that way versus what it actually is and as far as I see it, the BNP are just catering to more disgruntled individuals who probably wouldnt give a hoot about what it means to be British and should remember the halcyon days when Britain actually had an empire and what responsibility comes with that.

We cant reverse history as much as the BNP would like to.

It's been done often enough before, so there's no reason it can't be done again.

And the answer is to have a body where white people can never have equal membership to black people?

Isn't treating people differently based on skin colour a dictionary definition of racism?

Can't have it both ways.

(I only have an academic interest in the argument, no leanings either way despite what some may believe)

True. If there was any success from it the first time then we wouldnt be repeating it all over again would we?

True also. The white association of the police force is already in effect. people only seem to notice the Black Policemans Association when the white majority is effectively the same thing. if there was no racism in the Met then there would be no need for it now would there?

So I guess by that rationale its all equal now that the BNP should gain power and oppress those who are not white. Which is ultimately what they want to do if they ever came into power. I can totally understand why there are subdivisions as everyone retreats to their corner of the yard.
