Bowie has probably been the most consistently creative throughout his career.

One thing for sure - Bowie will be the next to die.

Bowie is totally overrated ? a mediocre talent, hyped above its justification ---- same for Jackson, he was shit.

Lennon & Presley were talented, although Elvis? stuff is sadly dated now.

So Lennon wins ? although he knocked out a fair amount of crap as well, with the occasional gem.

I'd put Lennon just ahead of Presley (although they were in quite different circumstances) then a fair way back, Bowie and dead last (no pun) Wacko.

IMHO, Lennon and Bowie had so much more depth and emotion to their songs than Jackson. Jackson only really did half a dozen really good tunes anyway.

Presley was more of a pure performer than all round artist like the others, but still one of the best ever.

Lennon was, Bowie was "merely" a cokehead circa 74-76, hence his self-imposd exile in Berlin in 76/77 when he created Low & Heroes (and had a big hand in The Idiot & Lust For Life)
