What the chuff is Fergie doing replacing Tevez and Ronaldo with an injury prone has been? One minute Owen is being offered a pay when you play deal at Stoke and Hull next thing Man U. Stunned.

This is obviously how the Glazers want to "invest" the ?80 million they got for selling Ronaldo. Anyone who thought that money would not go on paying down their debt was being naive.

Tevez only scored 5 league goals last season and would have cost ?25 million. Owen will score more than that and cost them nothing. Owen got nearly a goal every two games in La Liga, mostly from off the bench and had a better strike rate than Raul at the time. Not bad.

His record at Newcastle wasn't too bad either (30 goals in 69 games?). His last ten games were shit because the players around him couldn't create any chances. This won't be an issue at Man Utd.

So, then, there's his habit of getting injured a lot. Let's be honest, he's not going to start many games when they have Rooney and Berbatov. But can you remember who Man Utd's last injury prone striker was, who mostly came on from off the bench? Yes, Ole Gunnar Solkjaer.

You just get that feeling that Owen will somehow have one of those magic seasons. Bet he scores the winner against Liverpool, just because...then goes on to score a crucial goal (or goals) for England in the next World Cup finals. Write Owen and more significantly Ferguson off at your peril!

Cheer up you never a fit Owen could have as much success as a Henrik Larsson.

Ferguson is no mug. If he wasn't capable of doing a job he wouldn't have been signed.

He's been blighted by injuries the last few seasons since he went to newcastle , but up until going to newcastle he's got a good track record .
It makes me laugh the scousers saying he's let them down again "he should never have signed for real madrid now he's gone to man utd" , they seem to forget fat rafa sold him to real madrid , cus he didn't want him , and went to newcastle cus rafa didn't want to bring him back to liverpool .
As for england he'll not play why Capello is in charge , one of the first things he did on becoming real boss was selling owen to newcastle .

They also forget that he was never a Liverpool fan. He's an Evertonian.

Couldn't be a Liverpool fan, he's not from Norway. I don't think Fowler and McManaman were Liverpool fans either. Carragher is and Daniel Agger probably is.

Arginald first off Michael Owen is a quality footballer and i for one am more than happy hes at United, of course Ronaldo will be a loss but he wasnt playing for the team last year he played for himself, and quite frankly im glad hes gone because he was started to cause problems. As for Tevez he still appeared in 40 games for United Last year maybe not from the start but he had more than enough chances, i like tevez he runs for 90 minutes so cant knock the guy. Ive always rated Owen as a footballer and for a free transfer how could Ferguson pass that up true hes been injured but i dont think united would have signed him if he hadnt had passed all the tests. Never question Fergie.
