I watched Real Crime last night i dont recall this on the news back in 03 .

I do. It was all over the media, as she was a white girl murdered
by an Asian- had it been an Asian girl, the news-agencies wouldn't
have been that bothered.

More or less; I get the feeling that 'honour killings' [and I
can think of nothing less dishonourable than to murder a
young person [as I understand it, it's not just girls- boys
have ben killed, too] simply for some twisted notion of 'pride'
and the horrible crime of being young and therefore naturally
prone to error] are 'misunderestimated' by our police and
social workers.
