This series is up and down like a yoyo. Some scenes are great others plain ham acting.

I think the writers have been influenced by A for Andromeda and Quatermass.

Aliens aren't scary enough.

I've been enthrallled so far.
The back-stories, that chilling ad-hoc eugenics in COBRA [the
worse for coming from a woman!]..... the verisimilitudinous
cyncism of the politicians, and that sour-faced brutal Kevlar-
body-suited female government assassin.

Is it any different this time? I didn't mind the first series, but the second series was the "Capt Jack is Gay, lest make the point every few seconds" show.

The X-Files died about the end of series 2. Even 'Lost' made
more sense.

T lost its way a bit in series 2 but this new mega is pretty good.

That WAS a bit tiresome.
Davies is gay, of course; and may have felt some need to 'make
a point'. But we'd all seen 'Brokeback Mountain' by then so what
was it in aid of?

Anyhoo, part 5's on B3 in 15 min.......
