Interesting to think that a nation of 60m people was being run from a Blackberry by a man lying on a sunlounger somewhere in Europe. Obviously everyone now uses modern communications to do their business, if they are absent and whether it is running a country or a business or whatever. Lying on a sunlounger on holiday doesn't suggest full committment though, sitting at the your desk fully committed suggests you are more focused on the job in hand.
