Maybe O/T IE Help

Post by On Hols »

Hi

Am in sunny France on hols looking at bgafd away from my home computer. The thing is I dont want to leave an obvious trace on the comeputer i am on right now running IE5 as to which sites I have been visiting.

Have deleted IE temp files and History but cannot delete the recently visited files on the Address bar where you type in the address and which are displayed when you click the down arrow onm the right.

Windows IE here is in french which does not help mw work it out!

How do I delete the sites there that I have visited?

Guidence would be appreciated.

1. goto view (top off page 3rd pull down menu from the left)

2. click on view

3. click on internet option (bottom off pull down list)

4. click on clear history

I think this should do it

By the way, I am using v4, but I would think that the same thing would work in most versions.

go to www.webroot.com and down load the trial version of 'window washer'

Run it, then delete it!

Right click your lower taskbar, select properties, open the "start menu programs" tab, and clear the documents menu.
Sorted. :o)

Wow, hold the press! Allan makes a worthwhile post! I must complement him on his photography and his taste in women. Great picture and an unusually shaggable lady (and here's me thinking there were none left) good work Allan. "Hannah Smith" hey? Hmmm, now wear's my note pad....

You need to go to Tools/Internet Options, click on the 'Programs' tab and click 'reset web settings' - this will get rid of the previously used addresses which pop up when you start typing the address in.
