AKA Federation Against Copyright Theft. These were mentioned in a previous thread by Karol. I should have replied but I did not. I have experience with FACT. They are similar to a trade union in that they represent the big Hollywood companies who pay them a large fee each month. They would show no interest in copyright theft unless it applied to one of thier members ie a big Hollywood studio. So Mike from TM Video could not use them.

Incase anyone wants to know how I came about FACT. I once knew a well known electronic criminal who had been pirating DVDs and videos. He is a local milkman now and reformed. Mostly these were copies of mainstream movies ie non porn. One of the films he pirated was a big seller Pulp Fiction. He also had copies of Reseviour Dogs which the magistrates unfortunately assumed were animal porn and sent him down for 12 months. They said that animal cruelty could not be tolerated.(got him out next week after a hearing before a Judge, the Judge was amused when I told him that local mags thought Res. Dogs was a animal porn film) I was called out to sit in on his interviews. His response to the bloke from FACT was "no reply". He said to me "I will give the filth all they want but those FACT cunts can fuck off". He was one of those guys who can "chip" your mobile to give you free calls. He had more respect and trust in the police than FACT.

The 12 month sentence was quashed and he walked free after serving 3 weeks.
