I remember hearing that Primal Scream broke up for a time because they were 'too rock n roll to fly into Stansted Airport'. They had to do Top Of The Pops and some of the band wanted to land at one of the main airports in the south-east because that is fitting for a big band. Some other members wanted to land there as it is a shorter journey by road to the BBC studios. I also recall Tears For Fears disbanding in the late-1980's because they had differing views on astrology. These are some of the bizarrest reasons for bands breaking up that I have heard. Does anyone have any other weird and whacky tales as to why some bands have split?

Another one: One of the reasons for Pink Floyd breaking up in the early 1980s was because the skateboard craze was going out of fashion. An accountancy firm they had taken on to invest their money had invested it in some very strange places - including vast amounts of it being put into a large company that made skateboards! The band lost a lot of money when the skateboard craze started to die out and that created tensions between the band members.
