Well that's a good ?10m down the pan. Can't see Torres and Low Forehead aka Gerrard being happy playing some team of wombat herders from Lithuania.

Liverpool can beat anyone on their day, but they're not a great side.

>Time to go Rafa

They cant afford it, he has just signed a long term contract till 2014 at so many million a year. It would cost them 20 million to sack him.

I have to say (not being a Liverpool fan) that I am staggered (no other word for it ) at some of the players he has bought and the poor quality of some of those players.

After spending about 200 million I think it is, they have a team that seems to totally rely on 2 players, Torres and Gerrard. Take them out and you have a mid table team (at best).

I remember when he bought Jamie Pennant for nearly 7 million pounds. I remember screaming NO! as even I could see that was a waste of that sort of money (particularly as Birmingham had signed him for almost nothing about a year ealier).

Then he pays 17 million for Johnson, when only 2 years earlier Portsmouth had got him from Chelsea for about 4 million. Had he improved that much.

And the Robbie Keane escapade, well I have no idea what went on there.

He is not a BAD manager, but you do wonder at some of his actions.

i find it so funny when everytime someone scores against he has this bizarre ritual of writing it down on a notepad surely he can watch it back later no other manager does just weird, also agree without Torres and Gerrard they look lost.
madness to sell Alonso he was the heartbeat of the team and always felt that the other guy in defense used to get them a fair few goals from corners cant remember his name but know he left for free, bringing in Johnson what a waste never have rated him. There youth team is awful my arsenal team thrashed them in the youth cup final .
letting him go would be mad for them thou for one the pay off and secondly who do you bring in. All the best managers are quite secure in the jobs and no one would want to go to a club on the edge of a financial breakdown and two owners at war with each other feel sorry for them because like Newcastle both have great sets of fans .

Guss Hiddink is manager of Russia, who failed to qualify for the World Cup.

He did a great job at Chelsea last year and would probably jump at the chance of managing Liverpool.

Rumours are he may go back to Chelsea as Sports Director.

why would gus go to a club that have a huge debt and are in possible danger of going into adminstration may not finish top 4 so no champions league football and have two owners clearly fighting against each other untill these problems are sorted cant see him wanting the job
