The McCann's are back!

Dont get me wrong, the disappearance of their daughter Maddelin is very sad and we would all like her to be found safe and well. What I cant understand is why the parents pop up in the media every few months. They have re-appeared in the last few days, and it can not be by accident. There is some publicist involved, there has to be. Are we really supposed to believe that cameras are just upon the parents, and the media are just keen to run the stories? They seem to like being in the media, almost like how a popstar would, and when they do resurface the emphasis seems to be more on them and how they are getting on, more than it is about making a fresh appeal to find their daughter. It is all a bit strange.

I notice how the media never say "whilst left alone" anymore when mentioning the girls disappearance, the major reason the girl went missing has been airbrushed out for some reason.

alot of the comments i read after news stories are all people saying that they should be done for neglect and had the other kids taken off them and if it had been a working class family they would have been.... but no one seemed to mention that this wasn't the first night on the holiday they'd been left alone.

everyone was so quick to point fingers elsewhere, i still think they are guilty of more than child neglect and this is a smoke screen to deflect from that

they do seem to be bad media junkies, i agree with you there

They are back in the media as they were in Portugal for the start of a court case against the cop who was in charge of the case.
He is being sued for libel as he was more interested in writing a book and cashing in, then actually getting of his backside and doing some police work.
The case did not start as the cop caught swine flu and could not appear.

There is a petition going trying to support the guy who the McCann's are suing allegedly, for daring to have an opinion and a theory regarding the disappearance of Maddie. other than their own. Though he has little chance of defending himself against the massed might of the McCanns and their hugely financed legal and press team not to mention their highly placed friends!

!cool!

The bastard so called police officer Amaril would have mad the Keystone Cops look superbly effective.
If the fat bastard had done his job and realised that he was out of his depth and requested help from the Met then I suspect that the poor mite may have been found. As it is this fat useless bastard has been sacked and is only interested in making a pile with a load of lies written in a fucking book that will only ever be read in Portugal.
That is why the McCanns are in Portugal. To sue this fat useless lying bastard ex fucking cop.

With respect, if my nipper had gone missing, I'd go to ANY length to get them back.
The fact that the McCanns have a good team behind them, and the fact that they are upper middle class, should be no reason to deride them, or their ongoing battle to keep her name / appearance high profile.
I admit that there will always be an element of suspicion that they were in some way responsible for their daughters' disappearance, but that is based only on the statistics, that most children harmed or abused are, invariably, done so at the hands of close relatives.
However, at this time, there is absolutely NO evidence to suggest that they are culpable in Madeleine's vanishing, and until such time as that changes, one should remain sympathetic in their plight as grieving parents looking to find her, or at least get some kind of 'closure,' in this mysterious case.
If, indeed, they are guilty of, at the very worst, leaving their kids unattended for a short while whilst with their guard down on holiday, they really have suffered unimaginable anguish that almost defies description.
I truly hope that, one way or another, the full truth comes out one day, and that Madeleine's abductor and / or killer faces the full punishment that they deserve.
