Oh the delight at seeing all the tree huggers falling out and Obama's planned heroic entry is looking very rocky indeed. What an absolute joy to see Brown's planned triumphalism turning to wriggle, hesitation and hand wringing.Climate change wankers ..piss on the lot of them. The combustion engine has brought more progress to the world than any amount of middle class oiks with a cause ...and anyone notice Charles zip in on an executive jet becuse ' he had to go to a meeting ' first and there was no other way of getting there.Pass the junket there ...this trough is getting empty.

While scores of African despots are swigging Dom P. their people are dying of Aids and starvation in their tawdry little republics.

And anyone see some twatty president blaming the Sahara desert on 'climate change'. I fucking despair!

Ohhh, you can't challenge anything to do with 'man made' global warming, you know, it's just not allowed.

They'll be labelling you a 'denier' if you're not careful.

Somebody e-mail mrmcfister and tell him Jeremy Clarkson's hijacked his bgafd account.

That depends on what you mean by progress. Progress in a technological sense, yes, but not moral/ethical progress?

Some people are beyond help. Is darwinism a load of bollocks too?

Oh, it is allowed. You just need to show real evidence that can be taken seriously, which will hold up against opposing evidence. Can you find any respectable scientist, not being funded by oil companies, who can explain the changes in our climate or are you just someone who still wears high-waist corduroys and jizzes over himself whenever Top Gear comes on?

Oil isn't finite anyway so alternative forms of energy must be found whether you're a 'denier' or not.

Of course it is! What does Darwin know that James May cannot refute? !deadhorse!

Not upto me to prove a negative. You need to prove the supposed warming is man made, and not a natural occurrence.Something you've so far failed to do. Maybe thats why the East Anglia Uni boys had to 'manipulate' the data to get the desired results.

Probably as many as there are pro-scientists who don't rely on government research grants for funding.

We could have had nuclear power a long time ago, but that wasn't good enough for you either. Ironic, really.

It's not proving a negative, it's disproving a positive, or providing an alternative. There's plenty of evidence which heavily implies that global warming is man made, and it's a scientific fact that co2 absorbs infrared energy and transfers it to surrounding molecules as kinetic energy, warming up the atmosphere. These aren't even facts doubters question, or deny. What the doubters point to is whether we'd be going through a global rise in temperatures naturally, anyway.

Carbon energy sources are finite anyway and whether natural or not extra co2 makes global warming worse, which means less ice and higher sea levels. Considering 2/3rds of the world's population lives in coastal areas then I think it sensible and prudent to do what we can to minimise global warming.

Nuclear power is great but what are you going to do with the waste?

The internet has done nothing for global warming has it, what with millions now spending hours every day glued to a computer consuming all that energy, and a lot of them are just debating green issues, still never mind Gordon Brown will save the world !wink!
