New illegal Drugs

Just seen a news report about the re-classifications of " legal highs" as "illegal highs". Apparently many of these drugs were very harmful and could cause death.
The message seems to be to stay with the real illegal drugs like cannabis and LSD which have been proven to be harmless.

Muswell,
The message is stay with the legal drugs like alcohol and tobacco and are highly addictive and will kill you! The hospitals are full of nicotine addicts dying of cancer and alcohol addicts (know by the euphemism of alcoholics) dying of liver disease and people suffering from injuries inflicted by the inebriated.
NB: Cannabis is relatively harmless if you are not psychotic and as long as you don't mix it with tobacco.

Mike, I was once a heavy drinker and I knew a few alcoholics (most of whom are now dead), however I can't remember any of them mugging an old lady for their next pint. Can you say the same about drug addicts ?

Drunks usually fight among themselves. To a junkie your life is worth as much as their next fix.

Dick Moby,
Cannabis is non-addictive and its users mostly non violent unlike those that abuse alcohol and you are probably referring to heroin addicts.

Lizard,
Very true as 98 per cent of crime is committed under the influence of alcohol.

Dick Moby,
The emergency wards of most hospitals spend a great deal of time stitching up wounds and pumping out stomachs on a Friday night. It's like a battlefield out there
True alcoholics fight among themselve and one always sees them with injured faces, it's terrible to be one, a living hell.
