Myleene Klass and the knife

Hi
There was a thread earlier in the week about Klass getting admonished for waving a knife at some people who were peering through her window.
http://bgafd.co.uk/forum/read.php?f=3&i=226654&t=226654

This resulted in the usual "the country is going to the dogs...its all the fault of the Labour government etc" type posts.

Apparently the reality was something different. The Hertfordshire police were clearly a bit hacked off by this story and issued their own statement
"The story does not reflect the events of that night in an accurate way" The force has since pointed out that no reference was made in the incident report to use of a weapon. "Words of advice were given in relation to ensuring suspicious behaviour is reported immediately".

Apparently the call to the police was not from Myleen Klass, but a man believed to be her agent or publicist. Obviously this is what you would do isnt it when you felt your life is in danger, you would call your publicist? The publicist called the Met in London, who called Hertfordshire police.

Looks like we were all conned just so Klass could get a few more column inches in the media.

Or it could be that she phoned the nearest male figure in her life in a panic, and he told her to calm down, lock all the doors and I'll call the police for you.

Whether it happened or not in this instance, we all know its entirely possible for thr coppers to blame the victim in the search for easy answers. It does happen.

Instead of phoning 999 given her publicist said she was in fear of her life?????? Do you think multi-millionaire, independent women are so weak they can't phone 999 without the help of a man, but on the other hand they can brandish a knife?

And why the lengthy delay between the incident and the call coming through to the police given the potentially life-threatening and terrifying nature of the events? Apparently the police stressed to her about reporting such events immediately.

And amazingly, despite her publicists talking to all and sundry about these events in rapidfire time to allow papers like the Sun to report the event the very next day, they have since been remarkably shtum about the events, in particular the delay in calling the police.

Yep, my mother is part of the team running neighbourhood watch, she gets many phonecalls from people who basically are in a panic asking "what to I do?" when the obvious answer is, "Well call the police!"

What you do in a rational detached situation is not always what you do when in a terrifying situation at the time.

I think its quite probable that a home alone mother with a small child in the house notices someone in the garden/peering through the window, without thinking about it just picks up a nearby knife, waves it about screams and shouts, as the 'baddies' vanish, she rings someone who is a father figure in her life, saying "I'm scared, what do I do?"

And in your mother's case, given that you use the analogy, does your mother phone the police much later and does she phone the Met rather than the local police force so that the police then end up pointing out that having such a lengthy delay is not a good idea? Also the women who contact her in a panic - are they multi-millionaires, with their own TV programs, who have travelled worldwide and had multiple careers in different areas?

You still havent addressed the reason for a lengthy delay in the publicist contacting the police nor have you addressed the lack of attempt to explain the delay from the publicist?

It is also worth pointing out that Myleene does appear to have a lot of bad luck. There was the failure to get a visit from a midwife she discussed in an interview with the Sun to publicise her new show and her range of baby clothes. The happy slapping event she was on the receiving end of. And the most terrifying event of all, as reported in the Sun again (she does appear to have a hotline to the Sun), when in a visit to Kabul, there was a plan by a crack team of Taliban insurgents to target her.

Publicists keep quiet - shock/horror

Hi
Apparently the local Hertfordshire paper cottoned on to the fact that not everything might be as it seems with regard to this story from Klass's publicists and they contacted the publicists for clarification of a number of questions.

Their reply was
?We are not making any comment on this as the police are now backtracking on what was said so we are leaving it there.?

Umm, so quiet after once being so voluble!

If her publicist is the nearest male contact to her then her life is in worse shambles than i would have thought.

She could have called me. I live in Hertfordshire too. I would have been round there like a shot with my mask and cape billowing behind me.!laugh!

"Dont worry, never fear....Super One Eyed Jack is here. Bad men. Be gone!"

Indeed. However, when Ms Price speaks to the media she rarely finds herself charged in connection with misconduct in a public office, unlike members of The Hertfordshire Police:

Hertfordshire Police- one suspended for allegedly selling information to a journalist:
